The Streamline fitness website can provide you with an insight into fitness and well-being and maybe give you a start back into fitness if you are recovering from an injury or need a more thorough intelligent approach to working with your body.
If you are a sports person then you may need a stronger workout and that can be in the form of sports core conditioning.
About me
There are varied articles throughout the site and also some exercises featured in the Pilates section. Please browse through my site and contact me if you have an enquiry or a question.
I have spent over 20 years in the sport of swimming competing at the highest level of World Olympic and Commonwealth games and now also coaching swimming with the Southampton Triathlete club.
I always have had a great interest in health and fitness and the application of these techniques to my sport of swimming. On retirement from my sport I embarked upon qualifying as a Personal trainer and then specialising in Pilates matwork and Studio equipment based Pilates.
My personal journey to teaching the Pilates technique was ignited by the rehabilitation that I received from a back and neck injury that had developed after creating muscle imbalances and poor posture through years of intensive training in the pool and land based exercise. The exercises provided the compliment to my very intense elite training and gave my body a chance to move in a more controlled way whilst adding the benefits of improved posture, core control, fuller breath capacity and flexibility.
I have worked with the Great Britain World class youth and age group swim teams on their land conditioning. I have also presented at the British swimming coaches and teachers association and Sport Lancashire conferences. I have appeared in the national media in articles about health and fitness (go to media articles) and have been featured on TV in programmes such as Richard and Judy and the Lowri show. I currently work with a wide range of age groups and abilities in my everyday teaching both privately and in leisure centres.
My aim is to allow every one the chance to discover their bodies potential for a more enhanced and healthy life.
